We were brought on by Natalie Zanecchia Design, a multi-disciplinary designer specializing in creating interpretive exhibition design, wayfinding systems, and brand experiences for museums, sports hall of fames, zoos and aquariums. Our role was to develop illustrative panels and signage for the Audubon Aquarium & Insectarium in New Orleans, Louisiana.
In partnership with a diverse team of collaborators, the existing Aquarium underwent a massive transformation and the Insectarium found a beautiful home on the Mississippi Riverfront. Working closely with Natalie Zanecchia Design, we created large-scale entry signage for each Aquarium exhibit, illustrated panels for the Insectarium’s habitat entries, and created minimal, decorative flora and fauna cut-outs. Additionally, we designed illustrations for an interactive game encouraging children to match plants with their pollinators.
